Do you take time to do the things you love?

A lot of people still spend most of their lives filled with stress, anxiety, and despair about how they spend the majority of their working and waking hours. How often do you take time to do to the things you love?

It happens to all of us, we get so much caught spending time at work, taking care of our family that we “never” have time.

Sound familiar?

I believe if we dedicate more time of our lives doing what we love and working in a fulfilling job will change the world and the way we treat each other as human beings. It is healthy and needed to organize your days in a way you can be productive at work and you can have some time off. And there is nothing wrong with that. We have this misconception that the harder or the longer we work makes us better workers. I used to believe that for years. Is something I got from the society I was living in before I started traveling as a way of leaving and I am not pointing fingers to anyone here, I take full responsibility, I didn’t know any better at the time.

Nowadays there are so many different ways to produce income, thanks to the internet you can create an online business that will allow you to organize your life in a way you will be able to enjoy more, I am not saying this will be easier it can be a lot of work too but if this is something you choose to do it will be so much more rewarding. I am currently in the process of creating my online business, by taking my classes, workshops, and training online, thanks to Wire Creative. But if teaching is not your thing, there are tons of possibilities, you can be selling through amazon, or working as a virtual assistant, the possibilities are many, you can check this link of the course to know more about it.

I have been so busy these days planning my Acroyoga & Rock Climbing Retreat and planing my classes on top of taking care of my daily obligations, cleaning the house, making sure I feed my cats and find time to spend with my love partner, that a break was needed.

So I decided to go with a bunch of students/friend to climb for fun to Cayman Brac the island, where I will host my retreat in November 2019. and every time I go there I wonder why I don’t do this more often. If I love rock climbing & doing yoga, acroyoga and other things.

You know what? The funny thing is that Cayman Brac is a 40 min flight from where I live, that means I could be doing that once a month at least.

Anyways, I am here today to share with you also how rewarding was to take this group of friends to climb for the very first time. To see their faces after knowing they achieved something they thought it was too hard before trying it, is priceless.

We spend a weekend enjoying amaizing sunrises & sunsets, exploring the island, climbing, rappelling, I showed them some of the caves, I had time to visit some friends and we had so much fun chilling in the pool of the condominiums, with the amazing view of the Clift.

We were so lucky with the weather, Cayman island can be really hot especially in the summer but we had a sunny day, every day.

And I am so grateful for having such an amazing group of people in my life, who like doing all this crazy things.

If this is something you would love to try, check out the info fo my Acroyoga & Climb Retreat in Cayman Brac I love doing any outdoor sports but I understand this can not be for everyone.

Although it is proved that people who stay optimistic and work in a job they love or fulfill them or find time to do things they enjoy they have more quality of life and more lifetime!

I will share some tips here to start the change with simple things:

  • Find time to spend with your loved ones ( family or friends)
  • Get together to play games putting your phone in silence
  • If you work demand to spend too many hours being inside, make time to take a walk before or after work or maybe you can take a break and go for a walk, even if it is only around the block but much better find a nice park where you can go for a walk, fresh air is always good.
  • Do you have pets, play with your cat or your dog for 10 min a day, it will make you feel better.
  • Every day thinks in one thing you are thankful for.
  • Do you like reading, put your phone in silence and read at least 20 min every day.
  • Morning rituals are my favorites, I keep my phone without wifi until I finish my yoga or meditation session in the morning or sometimes is just breathing exercises
  • Take a holiday trip!

I know all these options my sound obvious or my not but seriously, don’t waste any more time you have to make the change happen if that is what you want. Otherwise you will be forever being miserable.

The time is now.

Tell me, what is that you like to do and you keep finding reasons to push it off?
